Thaddeus is Gone

 Bad news:

I quit the game whilst exploring with Thaddeus, but when I rejoined, he was gone. I shall erect a tombstone for Thaddeus and also get my saddle and horse armor back. Then I'll tame another horse.

The Mines

I went on a mining expedition with my horse Thaddeus and I collected quite a bit of iron and 4 gold ingots, all in the vicinity of a large abandoned mineshaft. When I saw the vein of gold next to a larger vein of coal, upon mining it, I went back up, so if I died, my lovely iron and gold would still be alive and in my chest.

I plan to go back there very soon to continue exploring the other caves branching off, and hopefully, find some diamonds.

The Search for Iron and More

I'm back at it again collecting iron and hopefully some diamonds on my newer world. Right now, luck with caves is minimal. The ravine I went into in the savanna only had 5 iron in total. I then went to a mesa, in which I recovered only 16 iron. I have enough for a full set of armor already, though I got kind of lost during the collecting.

I crafted some new tools and hunted cows till I had enough food for a while. I don't need to worry about preserving any animals now, except maybe the chicken for it's feathers. Though if I conserve enough arrows until I can get an Infinity enchantment, the chickens I won't need. I'll only need 31 diamonds for now so I can get a diamond pick and a diamond axe, as well as an enchantment table and a full set of armor. Next thing I'll craft is shield. When I set off, I really should've mined near the village until I could get a map.

I need one of those.

I soon ended up pretty successful, with 2 and a half stacks of coal and pretty much 1 hole stack of iron. I would've mined more, but after that, I decided my house of choice would be house on stilts with a nice large balcony.

I'm starting work on a small artificial pond to farm sugar cane and for decoration. As well as this and collecting diamonds, gold, lapis lazuli and redstone, I need to build my house and another barn to house the farm animals.

Anyways, I will see you next blog post.

And we're back from the Nether

I've decided to write about my adventures (if you could call them that) in Minecraft on this blog. It will hopefully be a good exercise in writing stuff, and I find it fun anyways.

So today what I did was I imported saves from my older computer to this new one, and I started playing my most advanced survival world so far, and the only thing that greatly annoys me is that I played maybe around 90% of this world on 1.8.8. Great. So I already have full diamond and everything, but instead of a diamond axe, which I want as my main weapon since 1.9 came out, I have a Sharpness V (I'm planning to add more enchants) diamond sword. Awesome sword, but I want an axe. So here's some pics of my world:

The Nether. Bum bum bum!

Enchantment area and mob farm.

So, off I'm going to go to mine some diamonds for me lurvely axe.
